Value Proposition

Component sourcing built for engineering and procurement teams that can't afford a bad supplier.

Defense, UAS, and aerospace programs increasingly need to demonstrate where a component actually comes from, not just where it last shipped from. Kestrel exists to do that work — identifying, screening, qualifying, and supplying components so your team gets a documented, dependable source instead of a spreadsheet of unverified leads.

FOR ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT

A single accountable source, not a directory of contacts.

Kestrel manages the supplier relationship, documentation, and commercial terms, so your team works with one qualified counterparty instead of coordinating directly with an unfamiliar overseas factory.

FOR PROGRAMS REDUCING CHINA-ORIGIN RISK

Structured alternate-source development, not a guarantee by geography.

We investigate country-of-origin and supply provenance at the level of detail available, rather than assuming a component is compliant because final assembly happens outside China.

FOR KOREAN & ALLIED MANUFACTURERS

A U.S. commercial and technical interface into defense-adjacent markets.

Kestrel represents your capability to U.S. customers, manages RFQs and requirements translation, and coordinates the documentation those customers expect.

Component Categories

Supplier-development priorities across propulsion, control, interconnect, and precision hardware.

These are the categories where Kestrel is actively developing qualified supplier relationships — not a catalog of parts currently held in inventory. See the full component focus →

Propulsion

BLDC and UAS propulsion motors, motor subcomponents, shafts, bearings, and related hardware.

Motor Control & Power Electronics

ESCs, motor controllers, and related power-electronics and control hardware.

Interconnect

Connectors, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical interconnect components.

Precision & Electromechanical

Precision-machined components, electromechanical assemblies, and related aerospace/robotics hardware.

Why Kestrel

We're not a lead generator. We're the supply chain.

Requirements translationTurning engineering specifications into a supplier-ready technical package.
Supplier qualificationCapability review, quality documentation, and production-readiness screening.
Provenance & documentationCountry-of-origin and BOM-level investigation, organized for customer and compliance review.
Commercial managementQuotation, MOQ, lead time, and terms negotiated on your behalf.
Supply continuityOngoing supplier relationship management and alternate-source development.

Not a Korean trading company. Not a parts broker.

Kestrel's value isn't an introduction — it's everything between an introduction and a qualified, supplied component: technical screening, provenance investigation, documentation, commercial negotiation, and an ongoing U.S.-based point of accountability.

We don't sell access to a contact list. We manage the supplier relationship so you don't have to.

Component eligibility, country-of-origin status, export-control classification, and any regulatory or contract-specific requirement (Buy American, Trade Agreements Act, ITAR/EAR, source-approval, etc.) must be evaluated for each specific item and program. Kestrel does not guarantee regulatory compliance based on manufacturing location alone.
South Korea & Allied Manufacturing Advantage

Direct, in-country supplier development — not a directory of overseas contacts.

Kestrel maintains a dedicated supplier-development presence physically located in South Korea. That means real factory visits, direct conversations with engineering and sales personnel, and firsthand investigation of manufacturing capability — combined with a U.S.-based team that manages the customer relationship, contracting, and commercial terms.

ON THE GROUND

Manufacturer identification & engagement

Direct outreach to Korean manufacturers, in-person factory visits, and direct engineering/sales conversations conducted in-market.

ON THE GROUND

Technical & commercial investigation

Specifications, quotations, manufacturing capability, production capacity, MOQ, and lead times investigated firsthand rather than relayed secondhand.

U.S.-BASED

Customer & contracting interface

A U.S.-based team manages requirements, contracts, RFQs, and communication, so customers work with a domestic counterparty throughout.

Precision on sourcing claims: manufacturing location in South Korea or another allied country does not, by itself, make a component "China-free." Components can still contain Chinese-origin subassemblies, semiconductors, magnets, bearings, or raw materials. Kestrel investigates provenance at the BOM level where available and reports what is actually known, rather than asserting a compliance status manufacturing location alone cannot support.
Qualification Methodology

From requirement to qualified, supplied component.

1. Discover & ScreenSupplier identification, capability screening, and technical fit review.
2. Qualify & InvestigateQuality documentation, production capacity, and country-of-origin/provenance review.
3. Quote & SampleQuotation, MOQ and lead-time negotiation, and prototype/sample coordination.
4. Supply & SustainKestrel commercial supply, production planning, and ongoing supplier relationship management.

Government & Defense

Built to support federal, prime, and dual-use programs.

Kestrel is developing the registrations, certifications, and contracting infrastructure needed to support U.S. federal government customers, defense primes, and subcontract opportunities — alongside the technical sourcing work that comes first.

Registration status

SAM.gov registration and related federal contracting credentials are currently in development. Kestrel does not claim active SAM registration, a UEI, CAGE code, small-business certification, or any government contract, customer, or facility/personnel security clearance until each is confirmed and documented.
